Doctors established a long time ago that happy and humorous people don’t fall sick; they don’t suffer high blood pressure and other debilitating ailments, just because they choose to be happy. You would agree that’s not such a difficult decision to make. Doctors often suggest you to decrease salt intake, as sodium can increase blood pressure. But this is an advantage for people with low blood pressure.

OK Dave – that’s certainly some assurance. But how many brain cells do we start out with anyway and how many have we got when we reached 50/60? And since some say we only use 10% of our brain anyway (I’m the living proof of that)We’ve got a heck of a lot of built-in redundancy eh?

I’m a late boomer I suppose, being born in ‘53, but I have no real desire to retire – even if I had a golden nest egg, which I don’t! I think working – and working at something you enjoy doing – has it’s own rewards. Who in their right minds would want to stop doing something they enjoy doing and they can do? Perhaps reduce the time working and reset the work/life balance is OK, but otherwise enjoy life!
